
According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, in April, China's production of crude steel, pig iron, and finished steel stood at 83.63 million tonnes, 70.69 million tonnes, and 122.63 million tonnes, respectively, representing year-on-year declines of 2.8%, 3.6%, and 1.7%. On a daily average basis, output reached 2.7877 million tonnes, 2.3563 million tonnes, and 4.0877 million tonnes, down 0.7%, 0.3%, and 3.3% respectively from the previous month.
The annualized production figures for crude steel, pig iron, and finished steel in April were 1.0175 billion tonnes, 860.06 million tonnes, and 1.492 billion tonnes, respectively.
For the January-April period, cumulative output of crude steel, pig iron, and finished steel reached 331.12 million tonnes, 282.28 million tonnes, and 471.94 million tonnes, down 4.1%, 3.1%, and 1.3% year on year.
Based on calculations, the domestic resource supply of crude steel and finished steel in April amounted to 72.62 million tonnes and 113.60 million tonnes, decreasing by 2.12 million tonnes and 1.21 million tonnes year on year, or 2.8% and 1.1%, respectively.
For the first four months, the resource supply of crude steel and finished steel totaled 292.22 million tonnes and 439.53 million tonnes, down by 11.94 million tonnes and 2.82 million tonnes year on year, or 3.9% and 0.6%, respectively
